Extra Curricular Learning
A good servant of Jesus Christ
'Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.' 1 Timothy 4:12
The PSHE and well-being leader organises a variety of after school activities. Each September pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2 are able to select from a wide menu of activities. Every child is encouraged to select at least one club.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Each term, our foundation subjects and humanities incorporate a wide range of school visits to support the learning in the year group, as well as benefiting from visitors to school.
A key success to our pupils spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is our residential visits that are taken in year two, four and six.
At Trinity C of E Primary School we believe that it is important to celebrate and praise pupils for outstanding behaviour. Using our 5 C's behaviour and discipline, policy we identify children who have shown excellent consideration, commitment, co-operation, self control and courtesy consistently throughout a whole school term (Autumn, Spring or Summer). Children are identified by class teachers when they have received 9 stickers on their 'Values Chart' and have been awarded a Platinum card. These children are then rewarded with a visit to a chosen location.
At the end of the Summer term 2014, 61 children had gained a Platinum card for showing outstanding behaviour consistently for the whole term. The 61 'Platinum children' were taken on a special visit to Beaudesert as a reward. Parents and carers are also given the opportunity to take part in the visit.
Platinum Praise visits take place at the end of each term when children have been identified as going 'above and beyond' with their behaviour.
